"Fingerprints" is a song written by Katy Perry and Greg Wells for Perry's album, One of the Boys. The song is about Perry knowing there is more to life and she is going to live life to the fullest, leaving behind a legacy. The song was performed on the Hello Katy Tour.

The song was recorded during the sessions after (A) Katy Perry was ultimately shelved by Columbia Records, being intended for an album entitled Fingerprints meant to be released sometime between 2006 and 2007. The majority of the tracks from those sessions ended up going towards the final track list for One of the Boys. The song was released alongside "Box" in 2006 in as a Summer sampler from Direct Management Group Licensing. The version on the sampler is the same as was released on the album. There is an extended, uncensored version of the song that has a longer intro than the album version, but it has yet to surface online.
