When hosting the MTV European Music Awards in 2009, Katy Perry performed a cabaret version of the chorus of the song as part of a medley, along with "When Love Takes Over", "Use Somebody", "Halo", and "Poker Face". Perry also made a cameo appearance in the official music video for the song.
