The Katy Perry Wiki

Kesha Rose Sebert, known mononymously as Kesha (formerly stylized as Ke$ha), is an American singer-songwriter, rapper, and actress. She first appeared on Flo Rida's single, "Right Round" and released her debut single, "TiK ToK", which topped many charts, broke many records, and was 2010's biggest song of that year. She achieved further success with two #1 albums, Animal & Rainbow, the #6 album, Warrior, three #1 singles, a string of Top 10 singles on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart, and two Grammy nominations. She has also been involved with animal rights and LGBT+ activism, as well as advocating for women's rights. From 2014 to 2023, Kesha was embroiled in a lawsuit with her former producer, Dr. Luke, whom she accused of sexual assault and battery.

Kesha and Katy Perry were friends, having grown up in Los Angeles together and working with the same producers. Kesha appeared in the music video for Perry's song "I Kissed a Girl".

Upon the announcement of Perry's song, "Woman's World", it was reported by the Rolling Stone that Dr. Luke was among the list of producers for the song. This garnered backlash for the singer due to the allegations by Kesha. During the lawsuit, Perry had been deposed due to a claim that she was raped by Dr. Luke, to which both have denied. Texts between Kesha and Lady Gaga have been made public where they discussed the claim.

A day before the Rolling Stone article, Kesha had tweeted "lol"[1], which many fans interpreted as her reaction to the rumors about Perry working with Dr. Luke again. Both singers have been approached by paparazzi on separate occasions about the situation, which neither have commented on.
