"Smile" is a song by Katy Perry from her fifth mainstream studio album of the same name. The single was officially released on July 10, 2020, along with the album's pre-order.

Demo snippets of the song were leaked on April 13 and April 27, 2020, followed by the full demo song featuring the rapper Diddy on May 5, 2020.
On July 9, 2020, Perry announced the album and "Smile" as the second single off the record, saying: "I wrote the title track from the album when I was coming through one of the darkest periods of my life and had lost my smile. This whole album is my journey towards the light – with stories of resilience, hope, and love". The single didn't include the aforementioned Diddy feature, but it was included on the vinyl release of the album.
